Apex Motorcycle Unveils Their Bold Take on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: An Ultra-Visual Customization
The motorcycle customization scene is always buzzing, with builders who aren’t afraid to go off the beaten path. Such is the case with Leo Sarocchi, the head of Apex Motorcycle in Marseille, who reveals his very personal take on the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. With its aluminum bodywork encased in plexiglass, this bike stands out with a bold and radical design. Let’s take a closer look at this unique build that leaves no one indifferent, neither bikers nor onlookers.
A Build That Stands Out Visually
When it comes to motorcycle customization, design plays a crucial role. Here, Apex Motorcycle opted for a completely out-of-the-ordinary look for the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. Normally, you’d expect classic finishes, but Leo Sarocchi and his team ditched the norms, opting for ultra-modern materials: aluminum and plexiglass. These elements are both lightweight and robust, covering the 452 cc engine as well as the fork tubes. The plexiglass frame that spans from the 11-liter tank to the half-fairings is a true signature of this build.
This bike has a futuristic look that wouldn’t be out of place in a sci-fi film, yet remains fully functional. Leo Sarocchi describes his project as daring, and it’s hard to argue with him. The approach is increasingly popular: a blend of tradition and innovation.
Beefed-Up Front End for a Sporty Look
Along with its radical aesthetics, this custom also alters the bike’s dynamic behavior. The entire front end has been revamped. Say goodbye to the classic fork and hello to a 43 mm inverted Showa unit, which adds an even sportier edge to the machine. A Brembo radial-mount brake caliper is also fitted to boost braking power. A 320 mm disc has been installed, enhancing the bike’s racing profile while ensuring precise and effective braking.
The original handlebars are replaced with Lightech clip-ons, mounted below the triple clamp, changing the ergonomics for a much more aggressive style suitable for dynamic riding.
Details That Make All the Difference
Apex Motorcycle took particular care in refining the small details to make this Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Ultra a true rolling work of art. The seat has been completely redone to offer both comfort and support. At the rear, the minimalist tail light perfectly complements the bike’s clean lines, with a vertically aligned LED headlight reminiscent of modern racing bikes.
The red and white livery is more than just color; it reflects the racing spirit with custom-painted touches on the rims, tank, and suspension spring, adding a visual impact that grabs instant attention.
Performance Remains “Stock” But Still Solid
In terms of performance, the Guerrilla 450 Ultra doesn’t break the mold like a crazy-boosted machine might. Retaining its stock setup, the 40 horsepower engine still provides a good balance for everyday use. A simple DNA Sport air filter enhances the airflow slightly, giving a minor boost to the engine’s breathability. It’s clear this bike focuses on appearances rather than extreme performance, though it remains a reliable and enjoyable ride with its striking appearance.
Despite its radical style, the Guerrilla 450 Ultra remains fully functional. One of the key aspects of this build is that it’s rideable, not just a showpiece. It was tested around the Marseille countryside to prove it’s not merely a showcase bike, but indeed a motorcycle ready to hit the road.
A Project Requiring Serious Budget
It’s well known that the custom world has its costs. In this case, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Ultra is estimated at 35,000 euros. It’s a steep price, but justified by the materials used, the meticulous preparation work, and the exclusive design that doesn’t go unnoticed. But here’s some good news if you’re dreaming of riding this beast! The bike is up for grabs in a sweepstake open until January 15, 2025. So who knows? You might be the lucky winner of this unique build and find yourself at the helm of this wonder of customization!
